btw if you're wondering where the "moko" came from, it's from a character in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles by Clamp which I was in love with back when I was Primary six. Have a great visit!

AJC TUNE IN
Hello ^^

Okay maybe my life right now might not be so ^^ but at least it's not boring, well except yesterday. Woke up at 6.40am when I was supposed to meet Khairul and Benedict at Macs 10 minutes before. Spectacular. Rushed and chionged there and we still managed to reach school in time anyway....except Ricca was like 40 minutes late. You have to admit, if you want to hold a Chem lesson on a school holiday from 8am to 4pm, you better not take your own sweet time with the students, who are just dying to get out of the school. Overall, it was quite good. Many many parts which are still slightly unclear but managed to finish the syllabus, which means the rest of the time for chem is going to be revision revision revision - fun fun fun.

Today was even more tiring, but 100x more fun. Reached school at around 8.30 to borrow instrument. All three teachers-in-charge were not in school, so me and Ming Jie had to resort to Ikhwan, who was unexpectedly in his office. After a series of his usual sarcasm , we got the forms signed and I practised a bit while waiting for the 4G guys to finish their Chem lessons so we could taxi to AJC. Only when we reached did I realize AJC was right opposite Nanyang Poly, which I went for 3 weeks for NEmation, how much more forgetful could I have gotten?

When we reached, the rest were in the middle of introductions, so we weren't so late after all. We were separated into groups and then went to play some games, which to be honest, were very lame, but at least they gave me a good sweat. Then we had tea break within our sections. When tea break was about to end, Sam and Lingyi made their late arrival, and I could hear like 'Those are sec 4s?' and 'Little kids' floating around, which was quite amusing yet I couldn't help but feel a little bad for them, though I can imagine how many times they have gone through the same situation.

Sectionals started after that, where Bryan, the SC, thought us some interesting tips and things about balance in the band, and the Clarinet SL also taught us a lot about how to articulate and different methods on how to get rhythms right. He also happens to be called Zhang Jundao, a.k.a our beloved BM Guoxian's older brother, which was veeeeeeeery interesting to say the least. And with my ever cursed luck, I got 1st clarinet part for every piece...diao. Their clarinet section is quite amazing and the amount of expectations set upon them are extremely high, and the combined with their conductor Alvin Seville (a more paikia version of Gabriel Palai...just as a description) only served to prove my point. He was clearly very piss-worthy, yet he restrained everything for the sake of the tune in. He skipped the whole 5/8 portion of the piece just because one of the first clarinetist couldn't come in in time for the Oboe solo, which was pretty...substantial.

After the whole thing, they had a QnA session, which was basically mostly about JC life in AJC as well as the DSA, which I am clearly not interested in. We then traveled to Nex for dinner, where the girls guided us to Long John's thanks to our dear Muslim friend Hamzah and made their untimely departure due to their moms. Had a super cheapo dinner but my body was already aching and I could feel the fatigue kicking in from the whole day's activities, so the trip back by train to Pasir Ris was arduous and I could barely stand, much less walk that distance home from the MRT station. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience today and gave me a better impression on how the band program is like in JCs, well in AJC at least.

AEP over the next few days, but whatever, I'll just do my best for O's! It's getting late and I'm completely drained, so until next time. My beloved bed, here I cooooooooooome!
