Just your everyday guy who wants to enjoy his life here on the tiny island of Singapore. Interested in Japanese culture, video games, meaningful flicks and hanging with great friends :)

btw if you're wondering where the "moko" came from, it's from a character in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles by Clamp which I was in love with back when I was Primary six. Have a great visit!

Playing Clarinet@VS
Man placing Blogger as a bookmark really does spark some motivation to post, and blogger's extremely convenient layout contributes as well, so I'm really hoping I'll post more in the future!

Today, was, hilarious. I was thinking last night of how I wanted to go with my dad to Starhub and get a new contract and hopefully a new iPhone 4S to replace my 3GS because, well, I WANT GREAT/COOL/INNOVATIVE/CUTE/ANIME-ISH iPhone cases, and you know that 3GS is pretty much obsolete in today's market. Funny thing is, I woke up only to find out that:

a) My mom and dad weren't home.
b) My mom apparently did not tell me that she wasn't working
c) Both my parents went out to watch The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
d) Hamzah invited me to crash the band room.

So, what else could I have done but crash the band room?

So I went to school after a quick morning (what morning, I awoke at 11) after a short breakfast and a round of Youtube videos. Took the usual MRT route and had Chicken Yakiniku for lunch at that totally-worth-it price of $2, and that was all i spent that day. Felt awesome. Had an awesome 3 hours playing my clarinet, as well as trying to find out ways to improve my way of playing, and it was pretty productive. I ended those 3 hours without any teeth pains (rather not as painful), so I knew something improved. Which brings me to the thought that the intense practices at MJ might have been the cause of my embouchure problems. Gave advice to some of the juniors and pretty much had fun jamming to Molly on the Shore, BECAUSE IT'S THAT FUN. How I wished I could play that piece for a concert.

Left school at around 5pm-ish, and my was the bus service horrible today. Missed a 196 while walking to the bus stop. Waited 10 minutes and 3 buses came my way. A 196, a 197 and....a 196. Apparently the 31 had a 16 minute waiting time when I arrived at the bus stop. Talk about inconsistent. When I reached the Bedok MRT, I saw a familiar face at the escalator, and whadda ya know, it's Jeremy. We talked a bit and walked a bit of Tampines One, where I tried to find a new tee but nothing of the sort interested me. Jeremy met up with Nakib as he planned to but I left for home almost right after we met, sadly. Alas, dinner awaits me at home.

Now I'm sitting here exhausted. Playing the instrument in VS' atmosphere really makes a difference. It makes me want to play my lungs out and I relive many precious memories as I play familiar tunes with my clarinet. I'm a sucker for nostalgia, and it showed in how I watched many Courage the Cowardly Dog flicks on youtube, disturbing but yet a fundamental part of why my childhood rocked.

A mere 5 days to JAE posting results and reporting at 7.30am to the school you've just been admitted into sounds really absurd, but I'm sure we'll be able to break the ice, and start enjoying JC life!
